Gordon Landscape Architecture has an exciting career opportunity for a creative and design-oriented individual to direct our expanding LA efforts. This opportunity is a senior level position within an established multi-disciplinary design firm with a 30+ year history.

We are seeking an experienced designer with excellent communication skills who can lead our LA design efforts and mentor other talented individuals within the firm. Design experience in areas such as: Master Planning; Recreation Design; Urban Design; Streetscapes; Mixed-Use Development, Commercial and Campus Style Development are a plus. Additionally, Gordon LA is increasingly going- green, therefore, experience in sustainable and green building is desired.

Director will be responsible for staff mentoring; business development; proposal and contract preparation; managing technical staff; and overseeing the preparation of landscape architectural construction documents. Must be experienced in AutoCAD and quality control.

We are looking for an individual with proven experience in project management, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and experience working on multi-disciplinary teams. The Director of Landscape Architecture will work closely with other affiliate company directors and provide support to the other corporate initiatives and regional offices.

Requirements:
Must be licensed and have 10+ years experience.
Minimum of BS degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Planning

 
   
 

WHGA is currently seeking several Project Managers to place in key positions within our Government Sector or Land Development Groups. Project Managers play a vital role in providing the day-to-day management of our clients within the engineering divisions, which work in a team format. WHGA provides exemplary levels of service and experience to our clients; therefore, we are seeking senior level professionals with proven experience in a variety of land development and/or related projects. The successful candidates must have the ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously and should have a history of working with other design professionals and regulatory representatives. Additionally, the candidates should enjoy working with and mentoring production staff in an effort to improve the design capabilities of the entire design team. Familiarity with AutoCAD is a necessity. A degreed, experienced, and licensed professional (PE, LA or AIA) is preferred.

 
   
 

Experienced civil engineers or landscape architects are being sought for our Government Sector or Land Development Groups. Candidates seeking the opportunity to make a difference by being closely involved with our clients and the decision-making process are preferred. Project engineers interface directly with the client, regulatory representatives and other design professionals and are responsible for project schedules and the identification / management of design tasks. Professional registration is a plus but not a prerequisite. (WHGA encourages and supports all design professionals to further their careers by seeking professional licensing.) The candidate should have the ability to prepare construction documents from initial concepts through final design using AutoCAD 2004 and LDD.

 
   
 
Responsible for the preparation of site plans, subdivision plans, road and grading design, earthwork quantities, water and sanitary facilities design, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management facilities, cost estimates and landscaping plans. Experience with AutoCAD and LDD is required.
